Quick Dip Wed 5/20/26 from 4-6pm

Because of the short notice, we are able to staff one lifeguard. We'd appreciate everyone's help in keeping things safe and running smoothly:

• As always, please make sure that you are following the pool rules.

• Given the anticipated crowds, this may not be the best day for nine-year-old swimmers to come without an adult for the first time.

• If the pool becomes too crowded, the lifeguards may need to rotate swimmers in and out of the water.

• Think of today as more of a quick dip to beat the heat than a full evening at the pool!

Please also keep an eye out on the weather. If we hear thunder, assume the pool will close for the remainder of the evening due to the limited operating hours.

A few additional notes:

• Free swim only

• No adult swim, except for the usual 15-minute breaks at 4PM and 5PM

• The pool will be closed Thursday and Friday, and will re-open as scheduled on Sat May 23, 2026

Duty trustee schedule 2026 posted

The main responsibility of the Duty Trustee(s) is to determine whether the pool should close. Each Board Member, except the Director and Assistant Directors of Operations, are required to serve. The schedule has been posted here.

Wheeler Merch Store

Check out Wheeler Recreation’s online shop for merch: 

• You’ll see we have a variety of products for both adults and children- shirts, sweatshirts, a hat, and a tote bag. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get bathing suits at this time

• This online shop is open year-round. 

• Wheeler receives $5 per item sold – so, this shop also serves as a year-round fundraiser. 

• A special thanks to Will Murray for creating some new Wheeler logos for us! Don’t worry, we kept the original logo too 😊 You’ll see the four Wheeler logo options on the homepage. Before adding an item to your cart, you will have the option to select the logo of your choice. 

  •  When you select the logo of your choice it will not show on the product’s image on the website. Don’t worry, the selected logo will be printed on your product.

• At check-out, you will be prompted to select your shipping method: 

  • Pick-up your order at Mackinnon Printing’s Shop (6 Ledge Rock Way, Suite 8, Acton, MA) for free

  • Have the products shipped to your home (for a fee).
